Awards and recognition

We are recognised as a Centre of Excellence by Arthritis Research UK.

The title was awarded to the Centre in 2013 and means that we receives substantial infrastructure funding from Arthritis Research UK over five years in order to carry out our research.

We are also part of the Centre for Musculoskeletal Research at the University, which was awarded EULAR Centre of Excellence in 2016 for a term of five years.

Staff awards

In 2016, Professor Anne Barton was awarded an NIHR Senior Investigator for a term of five years in the first instance.

These awards are made to the most outstanding leaders of patient and people-based research within the National Institute for Health Research Faculty.
